Books Arrive in India
On the morning of August 11, approximately 7400 books were loaded onto pallets and transported from Bethany to be shipped to HBI in Chennai, India. We are happy to report that the books arrived safely on the campus of HBI on October 11. The books are contributions from the personal libraries of 44 different donors, including 15 who delivered books directly to Bethany for listing and packaging by Bethany volunteers . Former Bethany member and once-interim pastor, Bill Young was the first to donate his library, acting as a catalyst for the project. Ultimately, he donated nearly 2000 books to the project.
Many thanks to all who helped, including Sam & Debbie Giesy, who donated most of the packing supplies and arranged and paid for the use of the SAM temporary container.

The Guptas were sent by Bethany in 1983 to assume the responsibilities at HBI which was founded by Bobby's father, Paul Gupta.
