Acts: Forward in the Name of the Risen King

The book of Acts tells the story of a people who had been called out of darkness and into the marvelous light of Jesus. Once they were scattered and divided by cultural, socio-economic, ethnic, and all kinds of other differences. Now they had been brought together as one people, with one Master, and one mission. No longer were they merely citizens of a broken, bent, disillusioned, and death-destined world. Now they were members representatives of the eternal kingdom, serving the resurrected and ruling Savior. As we study the book of Acts, we see not only what God's Holy Spirit has accomplished through his people, but a model for how we are to carry the torch and move forward under the banner, and in the victorious name of our Risen King.
