Discussion Questions

What reason does Paul give for exchanging lies for truth in verse 25?

In verse 26 Paul tells us that we are to “be angry.” What does good or righteous anger look like? What is wrong if we do not have it?Why is it not enough that the thief stops stealing? What more must those living in the light do?

What is “corrupting talk”? What kind of speech does Paul say that we should have instead? How does the way you speak line up with the way Paul is calling Christians to speak?

Are you aware of any of the attitudes Paul lists in Ephesians 4:31 in your own life? What does Paul suggest we counteract them with in verse 32?

In what ways are you actively showing Christlike love to others in your church?
