Discussion Questions:

Esau was prosperous. In what ways can earthly prosperity be harmful?  

Paul says to “seek the things that are above” in Colossians 3:1. What does that mean? What are the things that are above? How can you seek them?

Paul also encouraged Christians in Colossians 3:1 to “set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth.” How can one fulfill their responsibilities, and be present for their family and friends, and not have their minds set on things that are on earth?

What temporal things compete for your undivided attention? How can you better live today in light of eternity?
