Discussion Questions:

What did Jesus mean when he talked about “good soil”? How do people become good soil? How have you seen God’s Holy Spirit work in the lives of people to cultivate them into good soil?

Does Christ use his witnesses to cultivate good soil in others? How so? How can Christians be better cultivators in 2021?

In what way is shining the light of Christ to others evidence of fruit in the life of a believer?

What does Christ promise to those who share with others the light that they have been given? Is there any benefit to be gained if the people we share with are not “good soil”? Explain.

What encouragement should Christians draw from Jesus’ parable of the seed growing in Mark 4:26-29? How might that encourage us to be bold witnesses?

Why is it important for Christians living in 2021 to remember the parable of the mustard seed (Mark 4:30-32)?

In what way do you pray that God’s Spirit will produce fruit in you this year?
