Discussion Questions:

Why do you think those in the boat with Jesus failed to trust in his power?

Why do you think that Christians sometimes fail to trust in Christ’s power?

Why were the disciples fearful after Jesus had calmed the wind and waves (Mark 4:41)? Was that a healthy fear? Explain.

How did the man who was delivered from the demons respond to Jesus (Mark 5:18)? Do you think that he had genuine faith?

What did Jesus have the man do and how is that the proper response for anyone who has experienced the powerful deliverance of Jesus in their lives?

What kind of training did the delivered man need before Jesus sent him out? What should that tell us about our readiness to share the hope of Christ with others?

What is the most difficult challenge or storm that you find yourself facing right now? How do you know if you are responding to it in the proper way? Where should every storm of life lead us?

Read Isaiah 40:28-31 and spend some time confessing your needs and praising Jesus for being Lord of all.
