Discussion Questions:

Read John 20:24-31 as a group.

Why was Thomas reluctant to believe when the other disciples claimed to have seen Jesus?

What do you think about Thomas’ statement that he would not believe unless he had evidence?

In the 2006 film The Da Vinci Code, a character named Langdon says that “every faith in the world is based on fabrication. That is the definition of faith—acceptance of that which we imagine to be true, that which we cannot prove.”

Do you agree with that statement? How do you define faith? Is your definition biblical?

What evidences do Christians have to base their faith upon?

First Peter 3:15 insists that Christians always be “prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you.” Are you prepared to point others to evidence for faith in Christ? How can you better prepare?
