Discussion Questions:

Read Mark 14:1-11 as a group.

What was it that the chief priests, the scribes, and Judas were up to? Take a moment and consider what may have been the motivations of their hearts.

What motivates people today?

What do people in our day believe will bring them the most significance, fulfillment, and meaning in life? Why do you think they believe that way? What is wrong with that thinking?

What did the woman in Mark 14:3-9 do? Why do you think she did it? What do her actions tell us about her heart?

What does Jesus’ reaction to the disciples tells us the importance of this woman’s actions?

In what way is this woman’s actions an example for us to follow? In what practical ways could your life reflect the example of this woman?
