What does it mean to be made in the image of God? Why does that matter?

If God did not need to create humanity, then why did he do so?

What affect does the introduction of sin have on human ability to both reflect and represent God?

In what way are all human beings both sinners by nature and by choice?

If every part of our being has been corrupted by sin, then how is it possible that unbelieving people can do things that we would consider good?
