Read Romans 3:9-20

Who is the best person that you know? Why do you think that way about them? How does that person’s righteousness compare to that of Christ?

Why do even the best examples of human goodness fail to measure up to God’s standard?

Romans 3:9-20 gives us a list of 13 reasons every person is deserving of God’s judgement. Which ones do you see present in yourself?

Verse 13 says “their throat is an open grave.” What do the words, tones, or topics that come out of your mouth reveal about your heart?

Verse 17 says, “the way of peace they have not known.” In what way should the presence of God’s Spirit alter this in the life of a believer? How can you be a perpetuator of peace?

What does it mean to fear the Lord? Does your thought life and behavior reveal that you fear the Lord? Explain.

After considering what Romans 3:9-20 exposes about you, what do you think your response should be?
