Discussion Questions:

What does this passage tell us about the significance of simple acts of kindness?

What is the significance of the sheep being surprised at the recognition of their good deeds? What does that say about their character? What does it say about their nature?

What evidence does Matthew 25:34 give that salvation is the result of something other than works? What does this verse say about God’s sovereignty? 

If the works mentioned in this passage are not the means by which the sheep are called inherit the kingdom, then what role do they play?

What is a Christian’s motivation for caring for other Christians? What is their motivation for serving non-Christians?

In what ways has your faith in Christ moved you to practically care for the needs of others?

How can you practically care for the needs of those in our church during this season of COVID-19 restriction? What about the needs of others who are not believers?
