Walk Like a Disciple
This livestream is scheduled to take place at 10:30am.
You can support the ministry of Bethany by giving online, directly through your bank, or by sending your gift by mail (13431 Edwards St., Westminster, CA 92683).
Read Acts 15:36-16:10 as a group.
Why did Paul want to visit the people who had become believers during their first mission trip? What does that tell us about his understanding of what it means to make disciples?
Read John 13:35. What does loving one another have to do with disciple making? How do you see people at Bethany continuing to make disciples through their love for each other?
What were Paul and Barnabas arguing over? Who was right? Are you sure? Did their disagreement prevent them from continuing on to encourage and strengthen God's people? What does that tell us about their commitment to obeying God's call on their lives?
Does Timothy's circumcision tell us that Paul had changed his mind about the decision in Jerusalem or something else? In what way is it an important reminder that disciples of Christ are called to take up a cross for Christ and the sake of the gospel?
In what way does Paul's submission to God's leading in verse 6 through 10 remind us how disciples are to follow Jesus? What does flexibility have to do with being a disciple of Jesus? How do you determine where God is leading in your life? Read John 8:31-32. What crucial exercise must Christ's disciples always be present in their lives? How are you doing this and what impact has it had on your ability to discern God's direction?
